5 Tricks: How To Lose Weight, So That You  Look Great For Your New Years Party

Many weight conscious people become upset about their current weight situation when you mention the idea of a New Years Part.

They know that they will be expected to dress up and look their best, and over the holidays and at the party itself there will be unlimited amounts of food which means they will have to be careful not to eat too much.

There are many things that you can do to limit how much weight you put on during the holidays this year so that you can reach your New Year weight loss goals.

You will be able to use 5 special tricks at any event that you attend this holiday season that will allow you to control your weight loss as well as allow you to enjoy the party itself.

Weight Loss for the New Year

1. Be sure that you eat a filling meal before attending the part so that you are not enticed to snack the whole time that you are there. The buffet tables are there to encourage the guests to eat and enjoy themselves but it is very easy to get carried away, and cause you to put on some pounds.

Eating a filling meal before you attend will make the food less enticing and leave you in control of how much you snack. It will also help you to stay a safe distance from the buffet table so that you aren't tempted to overeat.

2. Since there is no limit to how many times you can visit a buffet table you should fill your plate. Most of the time when you are at a party will not grab all of the foods that you want the first time, and actually end up going back several times during the party, which can cause you to eat more than you should initially.

On the other hand if you make the decision to go to the buffet table only once during the course of the party you will be more choosy in the foods that you get, and you will be sure to get everything that you want the first time.

3. Many New Years Parties involve drinking alcohol, which if you drink too much will load you up with a ton of extra calories that you don't need, so bring a limited amount of money with you so that you can't buy too many drinks.

A pint of beer often contains around 250 calories, and one shot of vodka will typically contain about 50 calories. Depending on how many calories you should be eating in a day, four pints of beer could equal half of your daily caloric intake requirement.

Bringing only enough money for a couple of drinks will help you resist the urge of over drinking and taking in too many extra calories. Doing this will also help you prevent over drinking during the party, as well as stay in control of your weight loss goals.

Note- If you can limit your alcoholic intake during the New Years Parties, you will be able to vastly control your weight gain.

4. You should also be sure to watch where you choose to stand- If you are standing right next to the buffet table it will be a lot more difficult to resist overeating during the party.

The further you sit or stand from the buffet table the better off you will be in resisting the temptation of snacking. It will also be less likely to cross your mind since you won't be looking at it constantly, or smelling the aromas coming off of the table.

5. Dance as much as you can. Be sure to enjoy the night with a lot of dancing. Dancing will allow you to burn most of the calories that you will take in at the part, and will also keep you from approaching the buffet or the bar.

No matter your reason for trying to lose weight at New Years or during the holidays, if you follow these five tips you will remain in control of your holiday weight gain and find it easier to maintain your weight loss goals.

You can implement these tips any time of the year, and benefit all year long from the results of a more healthy party life.
